Services for Adults with Disabilities

Adult Day Habilitation Activities

The Lehmann Center in Lakewood, the Schroth Center in Wanamassa, the ACCESS Monmouth, Wanamassa and the ACCESS Ocean, Lakewood programs offer adult day activities for adults with developmental and/or multiple physical disabilities.

Emphasis is placed on basic life skills to enhance daily living, recreation, independence, and community integration, and basic skills, utilizing a transdisciplinary model. Pre-vocational exploration, vocational, and employment support are available. Goals are developed in partnership with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and Support Coordination to meet the needs of each individual. Lift equipped vehicle transportation is available to and from programs and our Adult Nutrition Program provides daily lunch.

Our adult programs and services are accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

As Department of Education services end for students at the age of 21, many young adults and their families are looking to transition into adult programs and services. Our knowledgeable staff possess years of valuable experience and are a great resource to help those who are ready for this next phase in their lives.

    Praise For LADACIN’s Adult Programs

I am grateful my daughter is attending Lehmann Adult Day Program as they have everything she needs and more. In addition to meeting her care needs, any therapy or equipment issues are promptly evaluated by the trained and credentialed staff. And it’s so much more than that. Everyone there truly knows my daughter, and they are the first to alert me when something needs attention. It gives me great peace-of-mind to have her there.
