LADACIN utilizes a transdisciplinary philosophy in the delivery of services.
The highly specialized team approach encompasses the medical, educational, therapeutic, and social aspects of the individual’s development, helping our students and clients reach their fullest potential and highest level of independence. A core group of professionals work together consistently over time, pooling and exchanging information, knowledge, and skills. The team may include teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, computer instructors, rehabilitation engineers, other professionals, and paraprofessionals, as needed and of course, the client and/or family.

Nursing
Many of our students, adult clients and residents have unique medical needs and come to us with different prescribed individualized health plans. Our skilled nurses work closely with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the individual’s health and safety. They make sure our students and clients receive the specific medical supervision, care, and attention they require, always being treated with dignity and respect.
Nursing services are determined on an individual basis. Some students and clients have private duty nurses. Private duty nurses and their transportation are funded through independent resources.
Special Services
LADACIN offers a wide array of programs to supplement our transdisciplinary services. Components of the curriculum may include music, art, computer instruction, and physical education/recreation. At LADACIN, we believe creative arts and physical education are essential to our clients’ and students’ development and further enhances the individual’s learning experience.
