Despite a few flurries and a freezing wind chill, nearly 200 Plungers braved the rough ocean waters, clad in creative costumes (some in barely anything at all!) to benefit individuals with disabilities. This year’s event raised over $70,000.
Leading the procession to the ocean were the Pipes and Drums of the Jersey Shore Shillelagh Belmar along with WRAT 95.9 radio’s DJ Gotts. Leggett’s Sand Bar graciously hosted the pre and post party festivities. Since the Inaugural Plunge 15 years ago, the annual event has raised over 1.2 million dollars!
All proceeds from the event support the J. Michael Hartnett Memorial to benefit LADACIN Network.
